ABOUT THE PROJECT

Mashi is an experimental initiative from a group of cinephiles. The experiment is to tell a good story with minimal resources. But every experiment needs backing. And this website is to get that backing via crowdfunding.

Is it a short film or feature film?

Mashi is a 90 minutes long independent film. An attempt to tell the usual serial killer lore on, who done it, less like an Agatha Christie, but more like a Franz Kafka.

What is the story about?

Agustus Gregor, a probationary rank IPS officer, who left his writing passion for his IPS gets himself entangled in an investigation where the accused is a failed novelist.

Why crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a great way to make and release independent films in India. Instead of convincing a single studio the scope of our story and debating over the likes and dislikes of the audience, we are trying to convince you. So that you get a chance to co-produce a movie that you may enjoy as a movie-lover, and proudly cherish it as a co-producer.

But how will I know this project is worth my contribution?

In all means, Mashi is new wine in an old bottle. Though we are not able to provide the wine in an ornamental designed bottle, the taste will never disappoint you
